Natcoll Virtual Learning Network (VLN) Courses
Natcoll Design Technology is pleased to be offering a range of ONLINE digital media short courses for students and/or teachers on the Ministry of Education Virtual Learning Network.
The Virtual Learning Network website brokers the connections between New Zealand schools, clusters, staff and students who are learning through online programmes.Natcoll VLN courses may be useful for schools working with the Digital Media strand of the Digital Technologies Guidelines. We can provide participants with the skills they need in animation, video post production, interactive media and graphic design.
ENROLMENT INFORMATION:
- Teachers and students may participate in these courses
- Students MUST be enrolled by their teacher
- Individual participant's email addresses are essential
- Natcoll's short courses may fit with STAR funding criteria, as individuals are provided with learning experiences that link to a particular student's career interests which schools would not normally offer
COURSE DELIVERY:
- Courses are available each term
- All courses are delivered via the Adobe Connect application (downloadable from the VLN server)
- Class sizes are limited to 10 students
- A minimum of 6 enrolments is required for a course to be confirmed
- VLN Course pricing is GST exclusive
- All course prices include a Natcoll Publishing book for relevant software
- Recordings of each session are available for reference for a limited time
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
- Access to the Internet via Broadband is necessary
- Participants MUST use headsets with built-in microphones
- Please check for additional technical requirements within each course
- Schools will need to have licensed software for each student participating in Natcoll VLN courses
