Natcoll Virtual Learning Network (VLN) Courses

Natcoll Design Technology is pleased to offer some new digital media courses in 2010 to schools using the Ministry of Education Virtual Learning Network!

The courses will provide an introduction to essential practices and skill-sets required by industry. They are open to both students and teachers who want to learn ‘cutting-edge’ design practices and software skills.

The intention is to offer the first set of courses in Term 1 and either repeat or update the selection each term depending on feedback from students and teachers! We would also like to offer some advanced versions of courses later in the year depending on the take-up of the introductory courses. Some courses will also be offering student the opportunity to complete unit standards as part of the programme. Most of the courses will run for 9-10 weeks.

The ‘Introduction to Industry Standard Print Design’ course is an exception to this rule - this will include PrintNZ ITO Unit Standard 23558 (20 credits) and will run for TWO terms.

The fees for all courses cover tuition and a Natcoll Publishing book to support independent learning.

To enrol in these courses your school needs to join the VLN community via the Ministry of Education (MoE) VLN website. Your school's designated VLN co-ordinator can then process enrolments using the MoE VLN website.

Further details about the courses are available on the VLN website
